What should I study if I want to work as vocal performer in 2024?

Aside from the usual skills of vocal technique, stage craft and musicianship the pandemic has taught us how important it is to be versatile as a vocal performer when it comes to creating your own opportunities and being able to produce yourself - either to enable remote collaboration or gain control of your creative work. You need to be a skilled vocal engineer and producer with songwriting and composition skills to enable you to create and polish your own material independently. You will also need understand events management, music business and live technology to make the most of your opportunities in the live music industry. It was with these skills in mind that we developed the content of our BA in Music Production and Vocal Performance so you are prepared to meet the demands of the music industry head on.
