Livestreaming for DJs with DJ Morse Code

Nat Morse (DJ Morse Code) was first inspired to learn how to DJ by the burgeoning ‘90s hip hop scene in San Francisco. After releasing a string of classic mixes that earned acclaim from DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ AM, he moved to Los Angeles, soon winning Redbull's first "3style" DJ battle and being dubbed “Best DJ in America” by the Sun Times. A music producer to boot, Morse’s downtempo/disco project POOLS (with Thee Mike B) released their debut “Innertubes” on the Razor-N-Tape label, drawing praise from Disclosure, DJ Spinna, Bicep, and DJ Cam.

A master of true open format DJing, Morse has stayed as active as ever during the lockdown with his livestream series “Home Time.” In this masterclass, he’ll provide his top tips for streaming live DJ sets on multiple platforms including Twitch and Instagram. He’ll address hardware and software necessities for multicasting, and touch on best practices for cultivating an audience. He’ll also demonstrate a short set and discuss his approach to song selection and crate digging, and take questions from attendees.

Get a glimpse into the brain of one of the best DJs working in America right now. Walk away from the session ready to get started streaming your own live DJ sets or performing live on multiple online platforms. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of the different platforms, and understand where you’ll best fit in.
