From headlining DJs and superstar vocalists to hit-making producers and industry heavyweights, alumni from Point Blank's global network of schools count as some of the biggest names in modern music, with the likes of Leona Lewis, Pete Tong, Nicole Moudaber, Claude VonStroke, and Aluna Francis having all studied at Point Blank schools around the world.
Point Blank students enjoy booking private practice time ("Studio Lab Time") in our on-campus studios supported by our administrative team, and we provide this service throughout each term while classes are in session. We also provide the same service remotely throughout the year through online support sessions. During your Studio Lab Time booking or Online Support Session, you can get support on all aspects of music production, including but not limited to:
These are personal, supported Studio Lab Time bookings (usually 3.5 hours) and Online Support Sessions (usually 30 minutes) which enrolled students can book directly through their Point Blank Dashboard or by emailing the Music School Manager. In addition, we work closely with industry partners to provide our enrolled students with exclusive partner discounts on the best software and software to use while studying and making music at home and professionally.
Open Forum Fridays is an initiative designed by Point Blank to promote academic success and give you ample support outside of class. Each Friday from 12pm-2pm (while classes are in session) all enrolled students are invited to campus to work directly with key Point Blank instructors and dedicated staff members, receiving their undivided attention individually and/or in small groups. Similar to "office hours" with instructors, Open Forum Fridays create a space in which students can share their music, receive feedback, ask questions, clarify elements of coursework, and get advice from experts. Open Forum Fridays are a great way to develop and maximize your relationships with your instructors, your courses, and Point Blank in general.

In addition to our educational programs, we are also home to the in-house label Point Blank Recordings, which is A&R'd by Kwame Kwaten, a Brit Awards Trustee, Mobo Awards Trustee, Ferocious Talent CEO, and successful record producer and artist manager. Point Blank students benefit from 1-2-1 Mentoring Sessions with Kwame to evaluate their music for release on our label, help develop their music, and create avenues into production, remix, artist development, and writing work. Our label has fostered collaborations between PB students and Ultra Nate, Kathy Sledge, and Kym Mazelle in a series matching house legends with our alumni. Point Blank Recordings has also had series of successful releases in recent years, which all started in 2020 with Vivienne Chi & Harry Shadow's hit remake of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac. For students capable of producing music at the highest level, this is a genuine opportunity to get signed and get their music heard in the industry as a direct result of studying at Point Blank. We provide a full suite of Student Services, Wellbeing Support, and Academic Advisement sessions to offer advice, guidance, and support to all our students. If you’re struggling with anxiety, stress, need advice or just someone to talk to, simply Contact Us and we can help. We also arrange in-person and online hangouts which provide a space for our students to connect with Point Blank friends and other students. These informal events help keep boredom at bay. In addition to the support offered by the School, there are a range of apps and online resources available to students free of charge to help ensure mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. We are proud to be ahead of the game when it comes to course delivery, student experience, collegiate community, technical innovation, and instructional delivery, both online and in person.
