Alex Phountzi, Head of Programme for Music Production & Sound Engineering, would like to invite you to our offer holder day on Saturday, 13th April (12pm - 3pm).
This day is not to be missed as you’ll have the chance to get to know Alex and his team of lecturers. Throughout the course of the day, you will have direct contact with Alex and his team, meet like-minded students, participate in workshops and, ultimately, get a worthwhile taster of student life at pointblank - There are limited places available so please REGISTER TODAY to secure your place.
Parents and carers are welcome and will require a ticket so please book all places using the form below.
This is how the day will go:
12pm – 12:30pm - Registration, tea coffee and lunch.
12:30pm – 1pm - Intro to the School and your course.
1pm – 2pm - Studio Time - this is where our lecturers show you just how good we are.
1pm – 2pm – Parent/Guardian Session.
2pm – 3pm – Q&A and meet our Music Production and Sound Engineering students.
A little bit about Alex
Alex has been producing and releasing music since the late 90s. An original member of Bugz In The Attic, Alex was also a member of Neon Phusion alongside Kaidi Tatham and Afronaut. Their debut album ‘The Future Ain’t The Same As It Used To Be’ laid the blueprint for the ensuing broken beat movement that took shape at the now legendary CoOp club night at Plastic People. Alex has worked on projects for FabricLive and a debut Bugz In The Attic LP on V2 recordings plus numerous remixes for artists including; 4hero, Roisin Murphy, Amy Winehouse and Fela Kuti. He currently runs the CoOp Presents label alongside long term collaborator IG Culture.
