In this class, you will learn the basics of how to create the parts for a techno track. You'll be able to start a techno track from scratch using original elements. You'll learn how to create a kick and techno rumble that complement each other and create a techno groove that will get a dancefloor moving. You'll learn techno production techniques that you can apply in your own work, and gain an understanding of a few good VST's to use in this style of production.
About Sara Simms
Best known for her techno sets and production skills, Sara is a multi-instrumentalist with a love for music technology. As a DJ, she's played sets for Detroit's Paxahau, Allen and Heath’s live broadcast at ADE and Miami Music Week, at Charivari Detroit, and at Techno Taco Tuesday for MNTRA in Las Vegas. She's created projects together with Mixed In Key, Native Instruments, the LA-based 6AM Group and Data Transmission, collaborated with vocalist JEI on 'Finally' and released 'Bronx' on her own label Simmetry Sounds. In 2021 her releases include 'Love's Got Me High' ft. Desiire on Terrence Parker's Intangible Records and 'Kreator' with Melleefresh. Sara's career highlights include: playing at Ultra Music Festival (Miami), appearing on DJ QBert's 'Skratch University', and playing at AIR (Tokyo).
