The Music Industry course provides a fantastic grounding in all aspects of the music industry. Developed and taught by industry professionals with decades of experience in artist management, A&R, label management, publishing, festivals and live event management, this diploma will prepare you for a standout career in music.
This course is designed to give you a complete and thorough introduction to the music industry so that you can begin your career or future studies with confidence. You’ll also benefit from a wide range of guest speakers from the industry and other specialist disciplines and collaborate with artists, DJs and producers within the Point Blank global eco-system. Whether you want to get into management, radio, live events or any other music sector, this course will set you off on the right foot to begin your career with a clear understanding and working knowledge of the industry. We supply all the equipment you need for your class, and our facilities are open 7 days a week during term time for you to work on your assignments and projects (excluding scheduled breaks).
If you are interested in production or DJing and wish to buy equipment or software, remember that Point Blank students qualify for discounts from Apple Education, Ableton, Native Instruments, Pioneer DJ and other leading industry partners.
Each module requires your attendance at one daytime class which will be 3 or 4 hours long depending on the module. Your timetable will be confirmed a week before the start of each term. If you have specific timetable requests, please contact us before booking and we will do our best to arrange your classes at times that suit you.
In addition to classes, students are expected to schedule sufficient practice time each week. The studio facilities are open to you 7 days a week gaining you valuable studio time and reinforcing the skills learned in class. Students can also book regular 1-2-1 sessions with our lecturers outside of class time.
