This course is co-developed by Keith Harris, the manager of Stevie Wonder and taught by lecturers with decades of insider music industry experience. Cover all the fundamentals of the music industry and put your knowledge into practice by organising a live event at a London venue.
This course will unveil every corner of the complex and exciting network that is the music industry. You’ll learn about all of the various entities that come into play and how they function in the music business such as record labels, publishers and collection societies, digital distribution, the live industry, artist management, copyright, marketing & branding, synchronisation and so much more. You’ll also benefit from a wide range of guest speakers from the industry and other specialist disciplines and collaborate with artists, DJs and producers within the Point Blank global eco-system. Whether you want to get into management, radio, live events or any other music sector, this course will set you off on the right foot to begin your career with a clear understanding and working knowledge of the industry. We supply all the equipment you need for your class, and our facilities are open 7 days a week during term time for you to work on your assignments and projects (excluding scheduled breaks).
If you are interested in production or DJing and wish to buy equipment or software, remember that Point Blank students qualify for discounts from Apple Education, Ableton, Native Instruments, Pioneer DJ and other leading industry partners.
Each module requires your attendance at one daytime class which will be 3 or 4 hours long depending on the module. Your timetable will be confirmed a week before the start of each term. If you have specific timetable requests, please contact us before booking and we will do our best to arrange your classes at times that suit you.
In addition to classes, students are expected to schedule sufficient practice time each week. The studio facilities are open to you 7 days a week gaining you valuable studio time and reinforcing the skills learned in class. Students can also book regular 1-2-1 sessions with our lecturers outside of class time.

Non-UK students cannot enrol in this course since it is not accredited.
If you take the accredited route by applying for the BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering (2 year) which is validated by Middlesex University, you will need a Student Visa. For more information, please visit our International Students page here.
