Ableton Production Weekend


Spend a weekend with Ableton Live. In just two days, this intensive, fun class will introduce you to the skills and techniques you need to start producing your own tracks. The course includes setting up, using audio and midi clips, arranging your track, utilizing the session and arrangement views, effects and processing, e.g. using vocoders filters, reverb and mixing. All Ableton classes are taught in small groups of up to sixteen by a Certified Ableton instructor in our state-of-the-art Los Angeles training studios.

How do I enroll on this course? 

Point Blank LA is a licensed institution by the BPPE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education).  This means that our course offering is quality assured and that we operate under a specific set of guidelines and standards. As part of these guidelines we require that all students sign a Course Performance Fact Sheet, an Enrollment Agreement, and have our official school catalog on hand.  Once the forms have been signed and dated you will be eligible to make your payment and reserve your place on the course.

What is my timetable?

We have three options for class times as follows. Please note there is only limited availability for evening slots:

1. Morning class – one session a week per module

  • 10.00am – 12:00am
  • 15 minute break
  • 12.15pm – 2:15pm

2. Afternoon class – one session a week per module

  • 2.45pm – 4.45pm
  • 15 minute break
  • 5.00pm – 7.00pm

3. Evening class (limited availability) - two sessions a week per module

  • 7.15pm – 8.15pm
  • 15 minute break
  • 8:30pm – 9:30pm

4. Weekend classes – Saturday and Sunday

  • 11am to 1pm
  • One hour break
  • 2pm to 6pm

Please note your classes will be scheduled before the start of each term. Call for details. In addition to classes, students are expected to schedule sufficient studio practical work each week. The studio facilities are open to you outside your lectures times gaining you valuable studio time and reinforcing the skills learned in class.

When should I enroll?

Book early to avoid disappointment as class numbers are small (eight and sixteen places depending on which studio your class takes place).
