Supported by Pioneer and developed by music industry professionals who have worked with Swedish House Mafia, Pharrell, Amy Winehouse and many more, the Music Production & Sound Design Diploma is perfect for international students who wish to visit Los Angeles and study for six months. It is a comprehensive practical guide to the creative process of producing music. Featuring Ableton Live and Native Instruments' Komplete and the latest DJ kit from Pioneer, this course of intensive study consists of three classes per week plus practice time. There are six course modules, each specialising in an important area of making music: production, sound design, engineering, DJing, mixing, music for film - you'll excel in all these areas. NB: If you prefer, you can substitute the DJ module for the awesome NI Maschine class - just select the Maschine option during the enrolment process. Class sizes are strictly limited and are taught by professional music producers. If you are hungry to learn music production and DJing and looking for the fast track route to professional skills then there is no other electronic music production school quite like it. Click on the modules below for content info.
3 daytime classes 11am-6pm
You can take this course without any prior experience. It is creative and practical in nature so academic grades are not required to enroll. Point Blank ensures that students have a sound grasp of all the fundamental music production skills before moving on to more complex techniques in later course modules.
Yes. If you are from outside the USA, this six month course is a great opportunity to enjoy Los Angeles whilst learning music production from the elite international school. Our classes are less than 18 hours a week and qualify as “personal enrichment” courses so international students coming to the U.S. primarily for tourism may be allowed to visit the U.S. on a visitor (B) visa and take our courses during their stay. Please note that we are not able to offer educational visas for these classes. For more information, please visit the U.S. Department of State website here.
