Point Blank x Resident Advisor Scholarship

Please note that the application process for this scholarship has now closed for 2018.

Point Blank and Resident Advisor are excited to announce the launch of a scholarship programme. The 12-month scholarship, which is free and open to anyone aged 18-25, provides a unique platform for a new generation of electronic music DJs and producers, with a focus on young artists who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue their passion

Students will benefit from industry mentorship, world-class facilities and electronic music expertise in Point Blank's London studios. The scholarship, valued at £14,000, includes an intensive, year-long Music Production & DJ Diploma course taught in London, alongside close mentoring from Point Blank and Resident Advisor.

The scholarship will provide regular access to music industry opportunities, helping to encourage progress and well-rounded experience as a DJ and producer. This will include access to events, live performance slots, guest performance slots with media partners, in-studio mentoring and studio collaborations. The programme will commence in April or September 2018, based on the candidate's availability.

The course is accredited by Middlesex University and is worth the equivalent of the first year of a Degree course if the candidate chooses an academic pathway. NB: The academic route is optional—the course can be taken on a non-accredited basis and students benefit from the same instructor guidance, mentorship, access to facilities and industry opportunities.

How to Apply

To apply for this scholarship programme, please submit the following info to scholarships[at]pointblankmusicschool.com:

  • A written application, highlighting your relevant musical experience to date, in the form of a CV and/or cover letter.
  • Links to your artist social media profiles (eg. Soundcloud, Facebook, Mixcloud), highlighting your strongest music and/or mix.

The deadline for this scholarship application is 28th February 2018, and the selection process will be carried out by both Resident Advisor and Point Blank. Successful applicants will be notified by 23th March 2018. Unfortunately we cannot reply to every applicant so if you have not heard from us by 23rd March, please consider your scholarship application unsuccessful.
