Music Futures—Day Event

The Music Futures Day Event (10am - 5pm) will include an array of industry guests, mentors, photo opportunities, panelists and keynote speakers. There is limited availability, so book your place for the Music Futures Day Event now at the bottom of this page.

Room 1—Industry Partners

Meet a range of Point Blank's industry partners and get the chance to try out their latest products and offerings. This is your chance to speak in person with a wide range of industry profiles such as Ableton, Pioneer DJ, ADAM Audio, Spitfire Audio and find out anything you want to know about careers in their particular field of work. There will also be university representatives who you can talk to and learn more about further education.

Room 2—Panel Discussions & Keynote Speakers

Throughout the day we will be holding panel discussions, inviting Point Blank alumni and industry experts to offer advice and tips how you can turn your studies into successful and fulfilling careers. We will also be inviting a keynote speaker (TBC) to give their personal insights. Last year's panel topics included Meet Our Alumni / Get Synced—Music In Media / Women In Music / Hardware, Software, Everywhere / Jobs In The Industry / What is A Record Deal, and a Q&A With Stevie Wonder's manager, Keith Harris. ROOM 3 / MEZZANINE—Mentoring

Up in Room 3 and on the mezzanine we will be offering 15-minute mentoring slots which students will be able to book in advance of the event. There will be a variety of profiles to choose from, from Point Blank lecturers and alumni to artists, to independent label representatives and promoters.
