As a consequence of lockdown (and importantly looking beyond the coronavirus pandemic too), Point Blank is proud to be ahead of the curve in delivering a fantastic student experience whether on campus or online and are happy to include all the exclusive features for students listed here.
Have you ever heard a great singer either live or recorded and wondered why you haven't heard of them before - why they haven't enjoyed more success? To have a successful career as a singer (like Point Blank alumnus Leona Lewis) it's important to develop a deep passion for and understanding of not just singing and songwriting but how the music business works. Studying at Point Blank, students have a great opportunity to network and collaborate with up and coming producers and writers to form new acts. We help this happen by organising music industry nights for you to get together like these: Open Mic Night and Producer-Singer Meet Up. We host student auditions for The Voice and X Factor and you can also book in for mentoring sessions with our resident music industry consultant and Senior A&R Kwame Kwaten who selects talent for our record label Point Blank Recordings and helps guide your career in music. These activities may just help you rise above an extremely competitive marketplace. The programme is taught in intimate classes by legendary singer/songwriter Phil Ramocon (Ivor Novello and Grammy Award winner) who has worked with great artists like Bob Marley, Jamelia, Steve Winwood and more. Check out his profile below, and watch the videos below to find out more about Point Blank and this course! Due to current UK Government guidelines, our singing modules are currently being delivered via the Virtual Classroom. For more information please click here.

I started with absolutely no experience and came out with all the tools to further develop my voice. As a producer, I work regularly with singers and rappers so my lack of vocal knowledge often left me in a frustrating position. Now when working other singers I can effectively communicate and demonstrate ideas for them to try. Nothing beats real life feedback from an instructor who helps you discover what's special about your own voice. - Keshava, Singing student
