Overview

Point Blank's unique Guitar Skills - Level 1 course is for those looking to learn essential techniques to help translate musical ideas into melodies on the guitar fretboard. Teach your fingers to play chords, scales, melodies, and strumming patterns before reading chord charts for popular songs and writing your own chord progressions. This three-month course is taught by professional guitar instructors in small class sizes of 12 students or less. Unlock the guitar techniques used by professional guitarists and producers to help you take your music to the next level. No previous experience required. 


Join a global alumni community with the likes of PB London graduate Leona Lewis. Get exclusive masterclasses from the likes of Annie Mac, Nile Rodgers, Trevor Horn, DJ Spoony, Basement Jaxx and more. Our course advisors will support you through the enrolment process, so please contact us with any questions.

Claude Ruelle Guitar

Beginning his career as a Jazz guitarist, performing alongside artists such as Pierre-Alaina Goualch, Claude has since created soundtracks for games such as 'Penguin Tales' and 'My Time at Portia'.

Ollie Hopkins Guitar

Ollie has played bass with a number of bands, recorded on music featured in adverts such as Curzon and Uber, soundtracks such as the 2021 movie ‘Pieces of a Woman’ and has been played on a number of national radio stations such as Radio 1, BBC6 Music and Radio X.

FAQs

What equipment do I need to buy?

None at all! Although students are encouraged to bring their own guitars, we can supply one for your in-class lessons. If you're considering buying any equipment for your own home studio, don't forget to check out our student discounts.

When are the classes scheduled?

Classes will occur for 2 hours, once per week. Daytime, evening & weekend slots will be available.

Class schedules are confirmed and released one week before the start of each term. Please call 020 7729 4884 for the most up-to-date information on scheduling and class availability. Our facilities are also open for students to use seven days a week, giving you valuable time in the studio to practise your instrument and reinforce your new skills outside of class sessions.

I work full time. Can I enrol?

Yes. Classes are usually available in the evening and on weekends, and we will be happy to arrange a class schedule that works around your other professional commitments. Please check with an admissions advisor to see what scheduling options are available.
