This multi-platform course (Logic or Ableton + Pro Tools + Native Instruments) consists of two academic years of intensive practical study designed to enable you to harness the power of music and start your career. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fully immerse yourself in your passion for music. Developed by music industry professionals who have worked with Pharrell Williams, Chemical Brothers, Swedish House Mafia, Massive Attack and many more, this 360 experience will ensure your expertise in all of the following areas: advanced production and remixing, sound design, engineering (live and in the studio), DJing, mastering, how to manage your career, making music for TV, film and games, Pro Tools and more. You get the added benefits of our brand new Shoreditch HQ featuring SSL Duality and Audient mixing consoles. Practice time is available for free seven days per week. Class sizes are strictly limited and each student has their own Apple Mac audio workstation and DJ set up in class and the practice studios. This course allows you to take advantage of Point Blank's expert instructors, outstanding facilities and practical hands on style of teaching without taking the academic route. You will receive a Point Blank Certificate on successful completion.
If you wish to gain accreditation you can apply for one of our accredited courses instead e.g. BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering which is quality assured by Middlesex University and for which you receive a Middlesex award on successful completion. It is an ideal progression route to a job in the industry.

You can take this course without any prior experience. It is creative and practical in nature so academic grades are not required to enrol. Point Blank ensures that students have a sound grasp of all the fundamental skills before moving on to more complex techniques in more advanced modules.
Degree and Diploma students take up to four modules concurrently. Each module requires your attendance at either one daytime class (11am-6pm) or two evening classes (6:30pm-9:30pm) per week. Please note your classes will be scheduled before the start of each term. Call for details and to arrange times convenient time for you. In addition to classes, students are expected to schedule sufficient practice time each week. The studio facilities are open to you 7 days a week gaining you valuable studio time and reinforcing the skills learned in class.

Professional and Career Development Loans are commercial bank loans that can be used to help pay for work related learning. You can borrow between £300 and £10,000 to help support the cost of up to two years of learning (or three years if it includes one year’s relevant unpaid practical work). The Government will pay the interest on the loan while you are learning and for one month afterwards. You will then need to start repaying the loan as you would any other commercial loans product. The loan can be used to pay course fees or other costs such as travel and living expenses. You can also use the loan to supplement other forms of support such as grants or bursaries. We host studio tours in the Orsman Road Studio Complex every Wednesday at 5:30pm and every Saturday at 12:30pm. Address: 26 Orsman Road, Hoxton, London, N1 5QJ. Please Contact Us to make an appointment. The Admissions Team will show you around the facilities, answer questions and help get you enrolled. There are four terms per year: January, April, July and September and you can start your course at any of these entry points. However, our courses have limited availability and get booked well in advance, so we recommend enrolling as soon as you are ready to secure your place to avoid disappointment.

Music Production students please note: before you decide to buy equipment for your home studio, remember that all students on the Point Blank Music Production BA (Hons) degree or Diploma courses receive a FREE Point Blank studio setup including KRK monitors, keyboard, soundcard and software. If you are not taking a BA (Hons) degree or Diploma class we will be happy to arrange student discounts from Apple Education, Ableton, Native Instruments, Pioneer and other leading industry partners.
