This once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue your passion for music whilst also gaining a full BA (Hons) degree in music production is validated by Middlesex University. It is a multi-platform (Logic or Ableton, Pro Tools and Native Instruments, Push), intensive and practical music degree course. Developed and taught by music industry professionals who have worked with Pharrell, Bjork and Swedish House Mafia to name but a few, this 360 experience will ensure your expertise in key areas of the music industry such as production, remixing, sound design, sound engineering, mastering, how to manage your career (or manage others), making music for TV, film and games, Pro Tools and more. You will be attending our brand new school in Shoreditch which features the best equipment and facilities in the business. Point Blank is the only school in the world to feature an SSL Duality Delta mixing console. Lectures are delivered in small intimate classes and free unlimited practice time in our state of the art studios is available to students seven days per week. This is the three year degree pathway for which qualifying UK/EU students can access a student loan for all three years of the course. If you do not wish to take the academic route but still want to take advantage of Point Blank's expert instructors, outstanding facilities and practical hands on style of teaching you can take this course instead: Music Production & Sound Engineering Complete Master Diploma. You will still achieve the in house Point Blank Diploma on successful completion of the course.

First and foremost, we are looking for people who can demonstrate a) their passion for music and b) an ability to successfully complete a Higher Education programme.
This will initially be assessed through your personal statement which should include any previous study or relevant experience in music. The Admissions Team will look at the merits of each applicant, taking the following evidence into consideration:

There are four terms per year: January, April, July and September and you can start your course at any of these entry points. However, our courses have limited availability and get booked well in advance, so we recommend applying as soon as you are ready.
UK and EU students may be eligible for a Student Loan for this 3 year BA (Hons) course pathway which received Course Designation in October 2016.

Degree and Diploma students take up to four modules concurrently. Each module requires your attendance at either one daytime class (11am-6pm) or two evening classes (6:30pm-9:30pm) per week. Please note your classes will be scheduled before the start of each term. Call for details and to arrange times convenient time for you. In addition to classes, students are expected to schedule sufficient practice time each week. The studio facilities are open to you 7 days a week gaining you valuable studio time and reinforcing the skills learned in class.

Music Production students please note: before you decide to buy equipment for your home studio, remember that all students on the Point Blank Music Production BA (Hons) degree or Diploma courses receive a FREE Point Blank studio setup including KRK monitors, keyboard, soundcard and software. If you are not taking a BA (Hons) degree or Diploma class we will be happy to arrange student discounts from Apple Education, Ableton, Native Instruments, Pioneer and other leading industry partners.
