As a consequence of lockdown (and importantly looking beyond the coronavirus pandemic too), Point Blank is proud to be ahead of the curve in delivering a fantastic student experience whether on campus or online and are happy to include all the exclusive features for students listed here.
Students on this course are given regular opportunities to get their mix featured on Magnetic Mag and Pioneer DJ Radio, alongside shows from Carl Cox's Global, Toolroom and Defected. Sponsored by Pioneer DJ, our DJ Studio offers a fantastic variety of the latest and best DJ kit you can lay your hands on. Many top DJs are successful because they produce music: their profile is raised, promoters hear about them and invite them to play more gigs. This is a three month course, two lecture days per week, designed to give students a fantastic start in the world of DJing. You'll cover everything you need to know about DJing and gain great insights into the world of Music Production using either Logic Pro or Ableton Live. The course is taught by professional DJs and music producers with extensive industry experience who have worked with Wu Tang, Estelle, Omar and Sway amongst others, plus you get unlimited access to supervised practice time in our studios. As well as being a Pioneer and Apple Training Centre, Point Blank offers its students the best equipped Ableton Live facility in the world including seventeen sought after Push 2 controllers, one for each student. This course also includes a free Apple Logic 101 exam and text book. Watch the videos below to find out more about Point Blank and this course!
It has been a pleasure studying at Point Blank! I am super impressed by your courses as well as the tutors. Since studying at Point Blank I have managed to get DJ gigs in a few places in London and one in Ibiza, and I couldn't have done this without the course at Point Blank. I would especially like to mention Nigel Dex Hosten who delivered a great DJ course. - Roberto, DJ student
