This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to pursue your passion for music whilst also gaining a full BA (Hons) degree in music production validated by Middlesex University. It is a multi-platform (Logic or Ableton, Pro Tools and Native Instruments and Push), intensive and practical music degree course. Developed and taught by music industry professionals who have worked with Pharrell, Bjork and Swedish House Mafia to name but a few, this 360 experience will ensure your expertise in key areas of the music industry such as production, remixing, sound design, sound engineering, mastering, how to manage your career (or manage others), making music for TV, film and games, Pro Tools and more. You will be attending our brand new school in Shoreditch which features the best equipment and facilities in the business. Point Blank is the only school in the world to feature an SSL Duality Delta mixing console. Watch our students recording a classic Amy Winehouse track as part of their course. Lectures are delivered in small intimate classes and free unlimited practice time in our state-of-the-art studios is available to students seven days per week. This is the three year degree pathway for which qualifying UK/EU students can access a student loan for all three years of the course. Scholarships & Bursaries

Higher Education Bursary

The Higher Education Bursary (London) is available to applicants to any 3 year degree programmes at our London school. Each academic year, Point Blank can award these to a limited number of outstanding applicants who would not otherwise be able to study with us. It is worth £3,000 per year (£9,000 in total), subtracted from Point Blank’s tuition fees.

To be eligible applicants or students should:

  • Demonstrate outstanding potential within the subject of music, evidenced through a portfolio of their work and personal statement / cover letter
  • Be a UK or EU National
  • Be applying to study their first degree
  • Be applying to study or have been accepted on any 3 year BA (Hons) programme at our London campus

How to Apply

Direct Applicants

Applicants applying directly to any of Point Blank's 3 year degree programmes should state they would like to be considered for the bursary on their application form. You should write in your personal statement section how this bursary will help you achieve your goals in the music industry.

Successful bursary applicants will be notified with their offer for the course.

UCAS Applicants

UCAS applicants will need to send through a cover letter and portfolio of work to scholarships[at] The cover letter should state how this bursary will help you achieve your goals in the music industry. Applicants will have until 31st January to submit their cover letter and portfolio. Successful applicants will be notified with their offer or contacted separately if they have already been offered a place.

Music manager Jen ran T in the Park for 5 years, A&R'd at Fiction Records, set up King Tut Recordings and runs her own business - Euphonios. A board member of AIM & SMIA, Jen has also worked with BBC.


Anthony Chapman Mixing/Engineering

Highly decorated producer, engineer, mixer, remixer & composer: Klaxons, Franz Ferdinand, Rizzle Kicks. Toured world as DJ Scissorkicks, releasing over 50 records and remixes under that moniker.


Max Heyes Engineering/Mixing

Credits include Massive Attack, Paul Weller, Oasis, Primal Scream & Jamiroquai. Co-produced The Doves #1 album 'The Last Broadcast'. Mixed Primal Scream's 'XTRMNTR'. Also helped develop La Roux.
