Go further with your bass guitar chops
In Creative Bass Skills, you’ll go deeper with practical bass techniques and your overall musicianship on the electric bass. Get your musical ideas onto the bass fretboard by studying things like pick and fingerstyle playing, slapping, popping, deep grooves, exotic scales, modes, improvisation, and more. Play basslines from popular songs and write your own creative basslines and progressions. Class meets for two hours per week for a period of 10 weeks, guided by a pro bass instructor in small groups. Once you've learned the bass skills shared by professional bassists and producers, your own music is sure to improve.

If you decide to purchase equipment for your own home studio, we will be happy to help you arrange student discounts from our leading industry partners including Apple, Ableton, Pioneer, Native Instruments, Serato, Izotope, Waves, and more.
For each 10-week Piano Keyboard Skills course, classes normally meet once per week for 2 hours on:

Our facilities are also open for student use seven days a week, giving you valuable time in the studio to practice your keyboard exercises and reinforce your new skills outside of class sessions.
Point Blank has partnered with Upstart Housing to provide our students with inexpensive and conveniently-located housing options in Silver Lake, Echo Park, East Hollywood, and more. Most of our housing locations include built-in recording studio spaces. Yes. Classes are usually available in the evening and on weekends, and we will be happy to arrange a class schedule that works around your other professional commitments. International students have different options for attending Point Blank classes depending on their country of origin. These include the B2 visitor visa, the ESTA visa waiver program, and more. We do not offer F or M student visas at this time.
