About the role

As a Part-Time Google Ads and SEO Specialist at Point Blank, you will be instrumental in enhancing our online presence through effective management of Google Ads campaigns and PPC advertising, along with SEO strategies. Working alongside our Digital Marketing Manager and other team members, you will play a key role in driving traffic, increasing online visibility, and maximising return on investment for our digital marketing efforts.

You will be a music-loving, industry-savvy marketing professional and your role will be pivotal in expanding Point Blank's reach to relevant audiences and achieving recruitment targets both domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities

Google Ads and PPC management:

  • Manage and optimise existing Google Ads campaigns to maximise traffic, registrations, and sales.
  • Develop and manage PPC campaigns across various platforms to complement Google Ads.
  • Analyse campaign performance using such as Google Analytics and Google Ads, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
  • Continually adjust and refine target audiences to ensure optimal campaign performance.
  • Build new audiences for segmentation and targeting
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing and Communications to develop new campaigns, including creating landing pages and updating ad creatives.

SEO Optimisation:

  • Implement and oversee SEO strategies to improve Point Blank’s search engine rankings and online visibility.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify SEO opportunities and align them with content marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and analyse SEO performance, adjusting strategies as needed to improve search rankings and organic traffic.
  • Collaborate with content creators to optimize website content, blog posts, and other online materials for SEO.

Miscellaneous:

  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications department to ensure a cohesive digital marketing strategy.
  • Research competitors and provide insights for enhancing digital marketing strategies.
  • Assist in the administrative aspects of digital marketing activities.
  • Search and outreach for new advertising opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by senior management, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Marketing and Communications department.
  • Liaise with digital media owners where relevant to negotiate new advertising activity, and maintain/improve existing deals where relevant.

Person Specification - Essential

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in managing Google Ads campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing and optimising SEO strategies.
  • Experience in analysing digital marketing performance using Google Analytics.

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, especially in Google Ads, PPC and SEO.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Ads and SEO analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid understanding of keyword research and search engine algorithms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with other team members.  

Person Specification - Desirable

Education

  • Advanced certification or training in Google Ads, SEO, or digital marketing.

Experience

  • Experience in the music and/or education sectors.
  • Experience with social media advertising platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Experience in a collaborative role, working alongside a digital marketing team.
  • Experience in content creation and optimisation for SEO purposes.

Knowledge and skills

  • A keen interest in and understanding of the latest trends in digital marketing.
  • Creative thinking skills for developing innovative advertising and SEO strategies.
