Clearing is a centralised admissions process open from the 5th July 2023 to anyone still looking to apply for a higher education course starting in September, but who has yet to secure a place. Maybe you decided to apply to university after the UCAS application date had passed, or perhaps you didn't quite get the grades you wanted, or maybe you just changed your mind about what or where you wanted to study. Whatever the case, we are here to help you secure a place on a course that’s right for you and start your music industry career with confidence! Contact our experienced and dedicated admissions team who will guide you through the application process. It's always good to be totally prepared so, if you can, have the following information to hand before you call us:
We will guide you on how best to proceed with your application. If you are applying directly to us and do not have an UCAS application then the process is straightforward - apply here - alternatively, call our friendly admissions team on +44 (0) 207 729 4884 where you'll get all the help you'll need. If you have already applied via UCAS, please go to the Refer section of these pages where you'll be guided through that application process.

The team can take you through the application process, you can discuss our courses, your grades and any other burning questions you may have. We are always keen to see creative work and work in progress so we might also ask you to send us a link to your portfolio and / or attend an interview (face-to-face or via Zoom).
After your assessment, you may be given an offer for your dream course (fingers crossed).
If you already have a UCAS profile and we offer you a place, simply log onto UCAS Track and refer your application. Once we've confirmed your place through Track, you will receive a confirmation email through UCAS, and then you'll be good to go!

If you haven't yet completed your Student Finance application, you will need to apply now in order for have everything in place for when you start your course.
If you have already applied for SLC funding but your choice of university or course has changed, you will need to update these details on your online account.

We’re extremely proud to host our inaugural Music Futures careers event at the iconic London venue fabric. This is where students can talk to our industry partners including Ableton, Pioneerdj, Beatport, Focusrite and many more to get the best advice on how to make it in their chosen careers. Room 2 hosts multiple live streamed panels from our successful alumni and leading industry experts. Up in Room 3 we have a space full of mentors waiting to guide you on how to make the best steps into the industry. Top all of that off with our student DJ and Vocal Performance competitions which gives Point Blank students the opportunity to play a live set at one of London's most iconic music venues and dance the night away.
Our degree courses are developed and taught by industry experts who are musicians in their own right and have worked with some of the biggest names in music. Our courses open doors to the full range of careers within the music and media industry including music producer, recording engineer, music/TV composer, sound editor, music arranger, artist/performer, studio manager, A&R/label manager and many more. On completion of any of our courses, you'll be fully prepared to begin your career in your chosen field.
Florentia is a London-based DJ who specialises in house, tech house, minimal and more. Determined and talented, the young artist recently joined the Defected Records team, following an internship, and last year was crowned the winner of the elrow Up & Coming Talent competition. Here at Point Blank, we pride ourselves on the success of our students. We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to success stories and that’s why we publish a monthly Student Success feature. For this instalment, we are shining a spotlight on the Point Blank student, Anhad Khanna aka Sublime Sound. He specialises in breakbeat, drum and bass and techno and has been featured in numerous Spotify editorials for his compelling sound.
Miles Bond studied our Music Production and Sound Engineering degree and has gone on to achieve some incredible feats. He currently works for AVI-SPL, a billion-dollar company that looks after global clients such as Goldman Sachs, NBCUniversal, Citi Bank, Coca Cola and more. Trish Complete is a talented DJ and producer who faced troubling times earlier this year when her mother became ill and she became her carer whilst studying her PB degree. Through dedication, hard work and perseverance, she has graduated with her degree from Point Blank Music School and made some big moves in the industry to boot.
Well Street Hall offers affordable student accommodation in London - perfect for any students in their first year! The halls of residence has corridor-based rooms and shared facilities. Each room is a single study bedroom, equipped with its own mini fridge, washbasin, broadband and Wi-Fi. Well Street Hall promotes a strong and valued student community within its residence. Residents have access to a large communal area consisting of study/studio space, as well as a TV room. Also included is a large outdoor backyard with BBQ area, table tennis, weights section and bike storage. There is also car parking on site.
Claredale House offers shared flats ideal for independent living. Set around an internal courtyard with lockable front gates, there are flats of varying size arranged over 4 storeys. Each room is fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, desk, chair, broadband and central heating. Each flat has its own shared kitchen, shower and toilet facilities.
Chester House is fully catered for accommodation in Muswell Hill. Please note, this is a dry halls (no alcohol permitted on site) - so this may well not be for everyone. However, students looking for a safe, community-driven and relaxed housing option would find this a brilliant place to live!
Clearing is for students who:
• haven’t received any offers through UCAS (or any that they wanted to accept)
• haven’t received the results they expected and therefore haven't met the conditions of their offer
• have declined their firm place and would like to make a new application
• are applying through UCAS after 30 June
• haven’t already applied through UCAS before the deadline and would like to make a new application.

Clearing for 2023-24 intake begins on Tuesday 5th July and closes on 17th October 2023.
The October term at Point Blank starts on Monday 3rd October, so we require all applicants to have met the conditions of their offer by Friday 23rd September.

If you have already registered with UCAS this year and are eligible, UCAS will automatically enter your application into Clearing.
One of our course advisors will be in touch to guide you through clearing. If you have already received your results, you should submit your clearing application as soon as possible and our admissions department will get in touch to request additional documentation.
Provisional offers will be made to all applicants who can meet our academic requirements. In order to upgrade your offer to Unconditional, you must email all evidence to support your application, this will include:
- Academic Transcripts
- Evidence of English Language
- ID documentation
- Any additional documents as requested by the Admissions Department
