Point Blank courses are designed to help you find your way in music production whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced user seeking to add more skills to your set. This three month Award program gives you a solid foundation in production and compositional techniques. Taught in intimate groups with two full lectures days per week, you'll learn how to use Ableton to help you craft your own tracks to professional standards. Each workstation includes a Push controller, Ableton Live, Native Instruments Komplete, Kontrol 49 and Output's excellent REV. Run by Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter Jesse Rogg (No.1 US hit with Sam Sparro, currently working with Banks), students enjoy extensive contacts in the music industry including our experienced instructors and masterclasses from high calibre guests such as Mark de Clive-Lowe, Laura Escude (Jay Z, Kanye West) and Daddy Kev (Low End Theory). You can take this course without any prior experience. It is creative and practical in nature so academic grades are not required to enroll. Point Blank ensures that students have a sound grasp of all the fundamental music production skills before moving on to more complex techniques in later course modules.

Please note your classes will be scheduled before the start of each term. Call for details. In addition to classes, students are expected to schedule sufficient studio practical work each week. The studio facilities are open to you outside your lectures times gaining you valuable studio time and reinforcing the skills learned in class.

None. Every student has access to their own workstation in class and during their studio practical work. If you decide to buy equipment for your home studio then we will be happy to arrange student discounts from Apple Education, Ableton, Pioneer and other leading industry partners.
Yes. Classes are usually available in the evening and at weekends and we will be happy to arrange a timetable to fit around your work commitments. Please check with a Course Advisor to see what classes are available.
